This picture was taken before it got busy. Insane didn't even describe it. Michele and I had to que just for an escalator for ten minutes. Why we chose this day to walk the floor I don't remember! CRAZINESS!

Matt Smith

So, Matt Smith was AWESOME! Today, Michele made it to Toronto this morning, we got into line, and after some curfufle, we were in line for Matt Smith's panel, and thanks to Michele, we were really REALLY close! The panel was short but good. Then it was off to Edward James Olmos, and thanks to friends we made in Matt Smith's panel, we were SO close! We saluted and then got to chant "SO SAY WE ALL" with the Admiral. After a quick photo op with Doctor Who of Canada we were in line for Arthur Darvill. When he came out, he was shocked that everyone was there to see him and it was so cute! Right after that, it was up to the photo shop for Matt Smith. It was a little bit of a let down cause I got to stand there for the count of three then it was done. After that it we headed back to the boys hotel to get changed and drop off some of my crap and then off to the hotel which was an almost disaster but into the hot tub then into bed!

Deep Breath

I got to see the theater premier of Deep Breath with Erin and it was... okay. I didn't necessarily like Capaldi, Jenna was the highlight of the entire episode and I cried when I realized just how much they had changed the intro. I couldn't even bring myself to sing the theme song. But it was awesome to spend time with Erin!!!

No Hair Go

Next step in trying to figure out what to do with my hair.... small, soft, rag rolls. Or that was the plan. The theory part didn't quite match up with the reality part. Need a new plan!

The fur babies are all very happy that we are home even though Alicia took such awesome care of them. I believe that this is Kismet's way of saying, NO MORE LEAVING! Too bad I go away again on Wednesday! TO FAN EXPO!!!!!!

Downtown Kids

Now that last week is over, I am taking a breath to enjoy one of the busiest weeks of our entire year! Amusement parks, birthdays, museum trips, play dates! It is nice to just have a moment to sit and breath!

Remains of the Wedding

Leah has left after a full and late night filled weekend and has forgotten her cupcakes! She also brought me home one of the centerpieces from the wedding which this pic doesn't do it justice. The pink flowers are actually more purple than this shows and they were sprayed with a sparkle mist. Also, elegant oreo cupcake delicacies....

Avocados are GOOD

Just before she left, Leah and I had a delicious sushi dinner! Have I mentioned how much I adore avocados?

Visits of the Pooh Kind

Leah drove up to Ottawa for the weekend from Timmins for a wedding and crashed here. Although we didn't get to spend much time visiting, things were awesome. Drive home safe Leah!

Happy Birthday Dorian

My baby turns ten today. Ten. 10. How did that happen?! He is officially a tween! It blows my mind sometimes when I stop and think about how much he has grown. Best wishes to my little boy for the coming year, I hope the next year is filled with excitement, happiness and health. LOVE YOU BUNCHES!

Back to Nature

Today the kids and I went to the Museum of Nature! Thanks to Steve, who bought us a groupon, we got to enjoy the bioessence exhibit and all the rest of the museum! We had a lovely picnic on the lawn with a large accompaniment of wasps who seemed to desperately love our pineapple and then Rowan was struck by a sudden fever so we left a little early. Got home, got settled, and my brother was over to enjoy some Doctor Who with Dorian for his birthday and Leah, who is staying for the weekend came by with pho for me!

Movie Boy!

Rowan spent the day with her bestie. When they picked her up, they asked when they could bring her back and I said that her bedtime is 9pm. They brought her back for 8:55pm ;-) Dorian and I spent the day together and then he got picked up by the Biggs at 5pm to be taken out to dinner and then to Guardian's of the Galaxy. I have gotten used to being alone when the kids are gone, but when they are supposed to be there and just aren't, it messes with my mind like it did in the beginning of the separation. An awesome time was had by both my babies today!

The Forgotten!

After a day of relaxing, the kids and I headed to Erin and Jeff's for a fun evening! Dinner was delicious and the board games kicked butt! And to top off the awesome evening - surprise fireworks! Of course, I forgot to actually take a pic of any of the fun times so instead, you are all treated to a random photo of horror:

LA RONDE!

LA RONDE! The day was a total blast!

Rowan: La Ronde was the best trip I have ever been on in all my life. My favorite part was the water rides. They were in water and it was a hot day. It looked beautiful and on one, it splashed all over you and got you all wet and it was a really hot you would be nice and cool and nice. My worst ride, it looked scary and that's why I didn't like it. It was the ride, the blue one, that pulls you up, up, up, up, up and releases you and you go "SSHHHHHHH" (with accompanying hand motions that show circular motion) and it pulls you back up but in the front and releases you and you go also "SSSHHHHHH" but in backwards form.

Dorian: Well, I liked La Ronde because of all the coasters because it is so fun to ride on them and some of them can be scary and fun to ride at the same time like the boomerang. That one was really scary but fun. I really want to do the second part of the monster next time. I should prepare myself for the next time! I did like the two sing sets too.

Nature Hike in Orleans Wood

It is amazing that Orleans has its very own nature woods just five minutes walk from the house. We braved the mosquitoes and heat on our only non-scheduled day this week!
