CALYPSO!

Since Calypso is a water park, it really isn't a good idea to drag your phone with you so the only pics I got were during lunch. R was really brave and did the big slides with D and I, though the family favorite was the lazy river. D liked the ride that he could run me under the waterfall best.

I think this day trip will be counted as one of the highlights of the summer! Definitely had a ton of fun, suffering from lack of properly applied sun screen now though :-(

Second Downtown Excursion #2

Took the kids to the War Museum and had lunch with Erin. D loved the museum and R was horrified. I think that learning about our hisotry, good parts and bad is essential to understanding where our country comes from and where we should be heading.

Second Downtown Excursion #1

Took the kids to see the Changing of the Guard. D was interested, R was grumpy to be awake so early and I loved the bag pipe band and all the pomp and circumstance!

Avengers Assemble!

The kids and I were joined at the theater by Nicole and Nathaniel to watch the Avengers: Age of Ultron. This time is was me who had to pee!!!

Single Girl Cart

Is that a cart with cat food, dog food, a ton of frozen single serving meals and a very large chocolate bar? Why Aimee, that must mean your children have headed to their fathers for the week!

Movie in the Park

Steve invited me to see Doctor Strangelove with him in the park downtown. Was a total hoot!
