The covers on top of Kismet. He looks all the little cutie here! I am a stomach sleeper and Kismet has taken to sleeping under the blankets with me, one paw outstretched, touching my arm under my pillow. I have to admit, it is pretty darn cute!

#30 Fav Food

As anyone who has ever eaten sushi with me knows, avocado is one of my most favorite foods. Something about it just makes me feel all warm and comforted. Also, it is delish!

Starbucks homework date with Nicole! We both agree that the Starbucks in Orleans is the best Starbucks in Ottawa bar none: the longer you stay, the more free samples they give out!

Pinwheels bring to mind running around in the sunshine on grass with bare feet. This pinwheel, that is stuck in a neighbors fence, just seems depressed and lonely, waiting for the warmer days.

I had originally thought to do my collection of antique tea cups and then had almost settled on my boardgames when I happened to stumble upon some old Sims 1 games while looking for something for Dorian. I don't know if this qualifies as a collection or an obsession....

#18 Today Is... Crafts

The kids got home tonight and Rowan found the Rainbow Loom case and extra elastics I got for her while she was gone. In this picture she is tutoring me on the correct assembly of the Diamond Ridge Bracelet and fixing the mistake I have just made. She loves being a teacher!

Onyx is my old man kitty. He is twenty years old and starting to feel his age and living up to the crankiness that is Kitty Old Age. Still the most beautiful cat I have ever met.

Doing a massive clean in my kitchen today and stumbled upon these toys that my kids made me a while ago which certainly fit with todays pic of the day: colourful. On the left we have the Doctor with his TARDIS, in the middle is me and on the left is an alligator.

#11 I See... Cuddle Kisses

Rowan was at her besties birthday party so Dorian and I spent the evening cuddling under blankets watching movies and eating lots of junk food. I wish that he could find himself a best friend to have sleepovers and fun with.

My baby convinced me to do rag rolls in her hair last night. Turns out that rag rolling shorter hair is actually quite hard but turns out super cute!

The city is still in the grip of the icy snow but the temperature outside has finally risen a little bit. I love listening to the sound of the ice covering the trees cracking in the wind.

#7 Currently Reading

Book three of the Outlander series. Loved book one, hated book two, So far, reserving judgement on book three, if it lives up to book one, I shall continue. I also must give a shout out to my new favorite tv show based on these books. Can't wait till April when the second half  of the season resumes!

#4 I Hear

Music is something that is always a part of my life. I got this stereo two Christmas's ago and it is still going strong, always with music on. It is such a huge part of my life, so able to shift my mood from bad to good or back again with just a change in beat. Favorite song right now: A Thousand Years. Every time I hear it, I think about River and the Doctor ;-)

I love the ring of ice around the front of the hydrant and the cap of ice over the blue top. Also, happy 71st birthday to my Dad.

#2 The Sky

New this year, I will be following a photo blog Fat Mum Slim with daily suggestions on what to post for the day. Today was The Sky. You can see the ice clinging to the trees from the freezing rain.

On days where I have a personal picture that doesn't fit with the theme, I might post two pics. Haven't decided yet!
