Oh Christmas Tree

We decided to get our Christmas tree pretty early this year and I am so happy we did! Gran came over and we headed to the Super Store and picked one of the bundled ones. And to all of our surprise, it turned out AWESOME!

I absolutely love the pretty decorations up in the malls which, up until now, I have been pretending don't exist. Since when is it okay to start putting up Christmas decorations before Halloween is even finished?

Successful Hunting!

We took family photos today and I spent the better part of the morning going from store to store to store trying to find a boytie for the little man. Walmart, Carters, Ardene, Marks, and finally found one at Winners! YAY WINNERS: You are a winner! I suck, I know.

The Big Melt

All the snow from earlier is melting away with unseasonably warm temperatures. Went out today without a hat on or mitts! Crazy!

Bought this mask at Halloween, just couldn't resist it. I have never seen a metal face mask that looked this pretty before! I bet Michele could paint something exactly like this only prettier!

First Present

The first Christmas present is all done up and awaiting Dad and Sues arrival. Had a great time last night hanging out with Uncle Peter, Aunt Erlene and Uncle Wim, but feeling guilty that I arrived like two hours before I was apparently supposed to.

Found You

So, I am pretty darn sick with the flu and I knew I didn't have any flu meds in my house but I was struck with the sudden realization that I might have some old NeoCitrine somewhere in the medicine cupboard. Hunting around for it, I did find it. On the top shelf. I had to pull over the stool to get it. And what did I find behind the box and a bunch of other clutter? My TARDIS mug which has been missing for months. It isn't quite the same as I remember it....

First Snowman

Dorian made the first snowman of the year yesterday with the little snow we got. Yes, those are beer bottle caps for eyes (thank you Erin!) and a withered old carrot I found at the back of the fridge for a nose.

Burning A Hole

Today we headed out to spend the money Rowan got for her birthday. First, we headed to Perkins. I think this will turn into our go-to restaurant because it has something for everyone (all day breakfast!). Then off to the mall for Rowan to pick between all the massive amounts of plushies. Shocking, I know!

Ribs N Sauce

Dorian made ribs and his own bbq sauce. The sauce was a little runny but it was all delicious!

Sick Day

Rowan was sick from school today and Marco had a really busy day so he asked if I could look after the poor little girl. I totally jumped at the chance to spend the day with my baby! We watched tv and cuddled and did crafts and had a ton of fun.

Deciduous Evergreens!

These trees always look so weird in the Autumn, They look like they should be evergreens but in the fall they totally change colours! What's up with that? Deciduous evergreen trees? What?

Maple Imprint

The image of a maple leaf on the hood of a car. I love that you can see the veins of the leaf in the imprint. I wonder how long it sat on the car for to make this happen?

Haunted House

To the Loft with Erin! Played some new games (I love Seasons!) and had a blast drinking tons of coffee and eating dessert waffles -- YUM! Also, turns out that I am EEEEEeeeevil! I pulled the card that turned me into a bunch of bats and had to chase the others in House on Haunted Hill, they totally killed me too!

When did this happen?! When did my little baby girl get so grown up?! Today was a tough one because she was with her dad and I only got to see her for a few minutes when I went to her school and dropped off some roses, a cool card and some bubble gum. I think she was more thrilled about the bubble gum than she was over the roses lol.

Crazy Face!

Mom came over to find out how to work her new Samsung and we tackled learning how to take pictures first. I must say, I come from a very photogenic family!

Bowling Craze!

Took Rowan and her two besties to bowling for her birthday with a bunch of my friends. The highlight of her day was when everyone (there were about twenty adults in all) all sang her Happy Birthday including Carlo, our very own rock star! Dorian was awed and totally asked for his autograph -- so cute!
