Happy New Years Eve!

Spent new years eve over at the Chan's having a pajama party, having my hair done, playing board games and having Ken and Matt make both my laptops shiny! You guys rock!!!!!

Jade

Gran forgot some of her presents from Christmas and had to come back for them. This one was awaited since Mothers Day. The jade plant comes from Nanny who kept her jade plant for years and years and gave me a clipping which has grown into the huge houseplant it is now.

Get It Off!

Kismet really does love Onyx. Unfortunately, Onyx does not feel the same way. Poor Kismet! In better news, a friend of mine might be willing to take Kismet. Things for Onyx have become worse and worse the bigger Kismet gets. Now whenever he gets off his ottoman, Kismet pounces on him.

Still Left!

Wrapping up the last of the dishcloth presents! It took me so long! I can't wait for everyone to see them!

Sodastream!

My Christmas pressy!!! It is so shiny and clean! And tastes delicious! Last year I got a Keurig, this year a Sodastream. I wonder what my beverage needs will be next Christmas!

MY NEW LAPTOP!!!! Yay!!! I am sosososo happy! Mom took me and the kids out today to hunt for a new laptop and I am so happy with the one I got! You can see that it is black and that the lettering on it is red, and the keyboard is backlit with red light -- FOR THE HORDE! Now, if I can figure out how to work everything I can catch up on all my missing blog posts lol!

It was a busy day filled with awesomeness and family! A big shout out to Uncle Craigo who suggested at Thanksgiving that we do Chinese takeaway this Christmas instead of having me busy in the kitchen missing everything. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Santa Clause Is Coming To Town

All ready for the big guys arrival, the kids got out everything before they left for their dads. Bad mom I am, I forgot to get carrots for the reindeer so we put out oats instead. And now I am missing my babies like crazy. Being without them on Christmas eve sucks :-(

Sine the kids are at their Dads for this Christmas eve, we did ours a little early. They got to open their pajamas (they were totally shocked -- NOT) and we ate hor d'oeuvres, watched movies and had Christmas crackers. So much fun!

Rowan had a blast today with me making a snow castle. I helped her make her bridge with a stray stick and she did the rest while I took pictures!

Friends and Food

Today was my Christmas party and it went smashingly! Ezra and Jacob had a ton of fun playing with Dorian and Rowan and the adults had fun singing carols and chatting. April showed me the most awesome video of Cumberbatch kissing Reese Witherspoon that was just AWESOME and I got to listen to Jeff sing We Three Kings. There was a ton of food and everyone had a blast!

Christmas Pageant

Today was the kids Christmas pageant and the kids did SO good! Rowan played her recorder and sang and Dorian did a stick thing with his class and sang with the choir. I sat beside Mr Crieger and we both remarked at how awesome he did this year! It only took him till grade 5 to stop fidgeting and pay attention and actually sing with his friends! ;-)

Nanny

I have very few precious things left of my Nanny and this is one of three Christmas bulbs that remain. I always think of her when my eye catches a glimpse of them.

We took family photos today and I spent the better part of the morning going from store to store to store trying to find a boytie for the little man. Walmart, Carters, Ardene, Marks, and finally found one at Winners! YAY WINNERS: You are a winner! I suck, I know.

First Present

The first Christmas present is all done up and awaiting Dad and Sues arrival. Had a great time last night hanging out with Uncle Peter, Aunt Erlene and Uncle Wim, but feeling guilty that I arrived like two hours before I was apparently supposed to.

So, I am pretty darn sick with the flu and I knew I didn't have any flu meds in my house but I was struck with the sudden realization that I might have some old NeoCitrine somewhere in the medicine cupboard. Hunting around for it, I did find it. On the top shelf. I had to pull over the stool to get it. And what did I find behind the box and a bunch of other clutter? My TARDIS mug which has been missing for months. It isn't quite the same as I remember it....

Dorian made the first snowman of the year yesterday with the little snow we got. Yes, those are beer bottle caps for eyes (thank you Erin!) and a withered old carrot I found at the back of the fridge for a nose.

Burning A Hole

Today we headed out to spend the money Rowan got for her birthday. First, we headed to Perkins. I think this will turn into our go-to restaurant because it has something for everyone (all day breakfast!). Then off to the mall for Rowan to pick between all the massive amounts of plushies. Shocking, I know!

Ribs N Sauce

Dorian made ribs and his own bbq sauce. The sauce was a little runny but it was all delicious!
